이처럼, "똑같은"을 영어로 뭐라고 할까요?

the same : 똑같은, 동일한, 마찬가지.

그럼 무엇과 똑같다는 의미의 전치사가 필요하겠죠?

여기 the same ~과 함께 쓰는 전치사가 있습니다.

그렇다면, the same as ~와 the same with ~의 차이는 무엇일까요?

위의 문장은 틀린 문장입니다.

문제는 the same 뒤의 전치사에 입니다.

: 내 의견도 너랑 같아.

위의 문장의 경우 the same 뒤의 전치사는 with 말고 as ~가 와야 합니다.

어째서 그럴까요? the same ~은 전치사 with ~를 쓰면 안 되는 것일까요?

# 구의 의미.

the same as - ~와 똑같은

the same with - ~와 마찬가지.

the same as ~는 "~와 똑같은", "~와 똑같이"라는 뜻입니다.

the same with ~는 "~와 마찬가지", "~와 같은"이라는 뜻입니다.

사실 그 뜻만 보면, the same as ~와 the same with ~를 구분하기 쉽지 않습니다.

둘의 쓰임을 구분하는 것은 생각보다 간단합니다.

: 내 의견도 너랑 같아.

위의 예문은 my opinion (내 의견)과 yours (= your opinion)을 가지고 비교하고 있습니다.

즉, 비교 대상이 동일한 것끼리 비교하는 것입니다.

그래서 the same as ~를 썼지요.

이와 달리,

It’s the same with me.

: 나도 그래.

위의 예문은 the same with ~를 사용했습니다. 

즉, me (나)와 어떤 것과 비교하고 있습니다.

그럼 me ~와 비교하는 것과 무엇일까요?

It's the same with me. ~앞에 또 다른 문장이 필요합니다.

A. I like fantasy movies.

A: 나는 판타지 영화가 좋더라.

B. It’s the same with me.

B: 나도 그래.

위의 대화에서 살펴본 것처럼, fantasy movie (판타지 영화)와 me(나) ~를 비교하는 것입니다.

즉, the same with ~는 비교 대상이 같지 않습니다.

이것은 the same ~의 의미 자체가 (상대방의 질문에 답하여) "아주 같은", "같은", "바로 그"라는 뜻을 가졌기 때문입니다.

1. same 앞에 정관사 the ~를 꼭 붙여야 할까?

- the same as ~구문은 same ~이 대명사로 뒤에서 as ~로 꾸며주었기 때문입니다.

그래서 정관사 the를 붙여줍니다.

2. the same that ~.

the same that ~. - that ~이하와 똑같은 것.

the same as ~. - as ~이하와 같은 종류의 것.

: 이것이 전에 보여주신 것과 같은 것입니까? (똑같은 것)
